Arjun Phull

I’m a learner, designer, developer, thinker, builder, traveler, & dreamer.

My academic passion lies at the crossroads between the power of big data and the ingenuity of the human mind. I believe that building technology that augments the way we think and learn is paramount within an increasingly digital world.

I’m currently a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, in Washington, DC. In my free time, I love to cook, write, exercise, travel, play piano, and learn languages.

It’s a pleasure to meet you!

Du Bois, digitized: Augmenting the humanities through immersive data visualization

Honors Thesis, The University of Arizona

My Honors Thesis explores the pioneering work of W.E.B. Du Bois in the field of data visualization. I argue that just as Du Bois’ distinctive visual grammar revolutionized data-driven storytelling, so too does the advent of immersive data visualization present a new frontier of pedagogy and an opportunity to augment the way we teach the humanities
